How do I setup the application?
It’s very easy. You’ll receive instructions with download links immediately after you subscribe. When you run the application for the first time, you’ll be asked to register using your PayPal email address. That’s it.
Does the IB Trader Workstation (TWS) need to be running at the same time?
Yes. The IV Watchlist connects to the IB Trader Workstation via it’s API, so it needs to be running at the same time in order to operate.
What Market Data Subscriptions do I need?
Because the IV Watchlist application connects directly to your IB TWS platform, it will have access to whatever data subscriptions your IB TWS account currently has. Most of our customers trade US stock options, and so would subscribe to the US Equity and Options Add-On Streaming Bundle.
How many symbols can I put in the IV Watchlist?
There is no limit, but we’d recommend that you keep the number of symbols to less than 50-60 in order to prevent data throttling by Interactive Brokers data server. Data throttling occurs when a large amount of data is requested over a short period of time. The IV Watchlist tries to avoid this by caching data locally. If throttling occurs, you’ll see a small delay on startup while data is being downloaded.
How do I contact support?
We have a priority support desk that can be accessed from the application’s help menu. The application also has a built-in user guide.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Very easy. You simply login to your Paypal account and go to Account Settings / Pre-approved payments and cancel the subscription. You’ll receive a message from Paypal confirming that the subscription has been cancelled. After that you’ll no longer be charged.
Can I still use the application after cancelling my subscription?
Yes. Your account will remain active until the subscription period expiries.
I’ve started a Monthly Free Trial. How do I change to an Annual Subscription?
Just cancel your subscription before the 7-day trial ends. Once the trial period expires, you’ll be prompted to re-subscribe. At that point choose the subscription period you desire e.g. Annual or Quarterly.
Can I resubscribe latter on after cancelling?
Yes. Just subscribe again and your account will automatically be reactivated.
Can the subscription price increase latter on?
No. Once you start a subscription, the initial subscription price will be locked-in until the subscription is cancelled.
Refund Policy
Our official policy is that we don’t offer refunds. Instead we offer a 7-day free trial. If you aren’t satisfied with our product for whatever reason, you can simply cancel the subscription before the trial period ends. However, if something unforeseen happens after the trial period has ended (e.g. some unusual technical problem etc) please feel free to contact us, and I’m sure we can make an exception.
